At £199/month, the retainer works out to roughly £16.60 per fixture across a typical 12-match season. A single missed sponsor logo placement — one job that goes to a rival because the page went quiet — can cost more than a season of the retainer.
What DIY costs instead
The free alternative is doing it yourself in Canva. That means one volunteer learning the template, producing six graphics per fixture, and posting them on time — most clubs report this eats two to four hours per week during the season.
Over a 30-week season, that is 60 to 120 hours of volunteer time. The £75 pack pays for itself the first time the volunteer spends one evening not making graphics.
