💰 New Opportunity — Chrome's native AI is rising fast

AI Sidekick For Chrome — Work Faster On Every Website

Chrome's built-in AI is real, but each tool still works in its own silo. Sidekick connects everything — summarization, sharing, chat history, email parsing, and reminders — from one toolbar. It works like a browser-wide co-pilot, not another tab.

What “switching context” costs you

Workers switch apps and tabs every 3 minutes. Chrome already signals summarization, history, and accounts. Sidekick ties these signals together.

🧩

Split design instead of unified

Each set of Chrome AI features ships separately. Summaries don’t reach your to-do chat history, and sharing lists stay isolated.

High switching cost

The average worker switches apps 1,200 times per week. Every context switch costs cognitive energy and time — especially for email, CRM, and docs.

🧾

Unexpanded market

B2B unified browser copilots are underbuilt in the SMB segment. Incumbents target enterprise first. You can win the long tail.

🔑

One-click activation

Chrome already exposes account, tab contents, and history intent. Sidekick uses these as a single sign-on context — fewer prompts, fewer clicks.

How Sidekick works

No standalone tools. No new logins. A single action bar built into the browser.

📝

Summarize any page

Chrome’s Summarizer API produces short, structured summaries on any URL. Sidekick also saves them to a persistent chat history for later qa.

📋

Share lists

Build and reuse share lists across Gmail, WhatsApp, Slack, and docs without rebuilding. Sidekick remembers contacts, priorities, and follow-up dates.

💬

Chat history

Conversations across tabs stay together. Request context from one page while working on another — then jump back to the original with one click.

📧

Email parser

Turn a 3-page thread into 3 points. Sidekick pulls attachments, senders, action items, and deadlines into a compact, reusable brief.

🗓️

Calendar + task timeline

Sync calendar context with chat history. Sidekick can schedule call prep, proposal follow-ups, and customer outreach — directly from the browser toolbar.

🔗

MCP and workflow triggers

Every action in Sidekick can publish to an MCP server or webhook. Hand off a summarization or share list to a downstream agent, CRM, or automation pack.

Why AI Sidekick wins in this gap

We aren't launching another standalone AI writer — we're shipping the first post-silo browser copilot aimed at SMBs.

🚧

High switching cost vs. generalist tools

Competitors ask users to switch to their UI, CRM, or IDE. Sidekick works inside the tab where the user already works.

📈

Fast ROI

100 email summaries and 50 share lists per month in Starter — that is up to 2 hours back per week for one operator.

🛡️

Trusted, review-ready output

Summaries, briefs, and share lists are timestamped and saved to chat history. Your team can audit AI hand-offs before sending.

🧵

Crucial context at handoff

Connect Sidekick to MCP workflows and your CRM. Push a share list into an acrylic voice agent, a checklist into N8N, or a summary into Telegram.

Possible paths to monetisation

We see several upsell lanes after Starter converts.

💳

Monthly API credits

Usage that exceeds caps — tagging, calendar sync, bigger attachments — sells in credits, much like ChatGPT Teams.

🛒

Marketplace templates

Sell prebuilt Sidekick automations for sales prospecting, customer onboarding, talent acquisition, and market research.

🤝

Channel partnerships

Integrate with agency sites that run Chrome-based research or support workflows. They resell Sidekick with a margin.

📊

Enterprise analytics

Volume and ROI dashboards for ops teams that need to prove AI time saved. Upgrade path from Team to Enterprise.

How we deliver this fast

Chrome’s Summarizer API + share + history + accounts + MCP = an unprecedented foundation. We integrate once and reuse everywhere.

1. Chrome APIs

Summarizer + History + Accounts give read-only context on the page and who is viewing it.

2. Sidekick runtime

One in-page overlay renders actions, chat history, and share lists without leaving the url or restart.

3. Data handoffs

Publish share lists and summaries to MCP/CRM/Calendar/Slack. Done outside Chrome, works anywhere.

Does this use a third-party account?

No. Sidekick reads Chrome-native APIs only. Your data and attachments never leave your browser until you publish via MCP or webhook.

What if Chrome doesn't expose the API yet?

Sidekick falls back to browser polyfill where APIs are not yet available. Chrome first, fallback always.

Can Sidekick access my email?

Only at your request — via the same standard OAuth flow used by Gmail apps. Sidekick does not store full email content beyond parsing.

Will this work on Firefox or Edge?

MVP targets Chrome. Edge is likely compatible via Chromium APIs. Firefox and Safari would need a service-worker shim in v1.

Why not build this in my existing workspace app?

Because the helper belongs closer to the problem — the browser tab. You gain history, context, and action without leaving the page.

FAQ

Is this really free?

Yes. The free audit and strategy session are no-cost, no-obligation. You only pay if you decide to buy.

How long does it take?

The audit takes minutes. The strategy session is a short call or async form — your choice.

What happens after?

You get a clear picture of what to do next. No pressure, no hard sell. If it's not a fit, that's fine.

Is my data safe?

Yes. We only use your details to deliver the audit or session. Never shared.
