The six graphics — your template set

Every matchday content system works from the same six graphic types. If you are doing it yourself in Canva, build these six templates once and reuse them every fixture. If you use our system, we build them for you from your club colours and sponsor spaces.

  1. Fixture graphic — landscape 1080×1080 or 1920×1080. Both team badges or names, competition, date, kick-off time, venue. Posted the day before.
  2. Predicted lineup — the team sheet. Player names, numbers, formation. Posted the evening before kick-off — this is the post parents share most.
  3. Goal announcement — two variants ready (home goal, away goal). Scorer name, minute, scoreline. Goes out within minutes.
  4. Half-time score — scoreline graphic. Quick update at the break.
  5. Full-time result — final score, competition logo. Within minutes of the whistle.
  6. Player of the match — player photo, name, club badge, sponsor logo. The graphic players tag themselves in.

Free starting points

Our football content calendar template maps the full season's posting schedule — which graphic goes out on which day, from the first fixture to the last. It is the free starting point for clubs doing it themselves, and it shows exactly what the automated system handles for you.

The matchday graphic maker covers the individual graphics — pick a type, drop in the details, export. Good for one-off designs before you commit to a full pack.

Sizes that actually work

Export each graphic in at least two sizes. The same design should work in the feed and in the group chat — repurposing is where the time saving actually comes from.

Keeping the style consistent

Decide these five things once and write them down:

  1. Club colours (hex codes)
  2. Badge placement and size
  3. Font choices (one header, one body)
  4. Sponsor logo placement and minimum size
  5. Border or background treatment

Every future graphic follows that sheet. When a new volunteer takes over, the sheet is the handover — not a two-hour tutorial.
